Have you recently or in the past five years given birth in Hackney?

Then we would like to hear from you!

We would like to hear the good and the bad of your experience giving birth and beyond in the London Borough of Hackney and the City.

We are interested to hear what you think works very well and what can be improved

And of course any new suggestions how services can be run better are very welcome too.

Your recommendations will directly influence how midwives and doctors do their jobs and how the money in the NHS will be spent to deliver maternity services.

How does it work?

The Maternity Voice Partnership is a group of
  • maternity clinicians and midwives (mainly from Homerton Hospital)
  • mums and dads
  • doulas
  • GPs
  • and local maternity commissioners from the NHS clinical commissioning group
who meet every 3 months to improve the pregnancy and maternity services and experience of parents in Hackney and the City of London.

We are independent of the NHS and our meetings are chaired by a maternity service user representative.

Our aim is to bring YOUR VOICE as maternity service user to the centre of discussions, so our maternity services can be shaped, improved, and developed best to meet the needs of local parents and parents to be.

Please fill out a Walk the Patch survey form or write your story down and email us on mvphackney@gmail.com.

(Please be patient with any acknowledgement, as our group is volunteer run by parents and we check our emails every three days or so.)
